Captive rattle - Baby

Made in Quebec, the captive rattle for babies is one of the first hearing aids to be offered around the^2nd month.

It is perfectly adapted to the child's small hand, unlike many children's toys which are too large. By offering the bell rattle to a child of this age, the grasping reflex is solicited and the hand develops for a deliberate grasp when the reflex fades and is replaced by the sensible gesture. As the child makes movements with his/her arms and later when he/she voluntarily shakes the material, he/she will be attracted by the soft sound that he/she will make. The child will begin to follow the sound with his/her eyes, helping sensory development.
